After Brad Pitt in 2011 in Correns and George Lucas in 2017 in Chateauvert, it was the turn of George Clooney to buy a property in the South of France, inland in the Var near Brignoles, just about an hour from St Tropez.

Known for his good taste in choosing secluded and stylish properties, after Villa Oleandra overlooking Lake Como in Northern Italy, Clooney has chosen as his new hideaway Domaine du Canadel, a superb 18th century renovated country house with 170 hectares of land that includes vines and olive groves.

Will he create his own brand of rosé, like Brad has done with award winning Chateau de Miraval brand ?
Its more likely he will enjoy tranquil Provencal countryside under the exceptional blue skies of the Var in the company of family and friends around the extra large swimming pool and playing games of "boules" !

Where else can you go after the charm of Lake Como ? Clooney like many other artists before him has chosen the light of Provence.
