Villa Cedres located between Nice and Monaco, has been sold this month to a private buyer. Once owned by Belgian King Leopold II, the estate has 14 hectares of some of the most valuable land on the planet in St Jean Cap Ferrat. The beautiful private gardens contain 16,000 rare tropical species in 25 glasshouses. The property itself overlooks the sea and has 1672m2 of living space. It was home to the Grand Marnier family since 1924. Valued at one point at over 1 billion Euros, it has sold for a fraction of the price, but it is still the second highest residential sale in France ever, after the Chateau de Louveciennes near Paris.

The worlds most expensive apartment located in Monaco at 350 million Euros is still for sale. The penthouse covers the top 5 floors of the Odeon tower, Monaco's tallest building and has an open air pool and waterslide as well as 3500m2 of living space.
